The Shamba choker

the working land, worn close
410 hours, recorded · one of one · gouache No. 19

Shamba is the ground one works — the plot that keeps a family. Kagem emerald sits against Merelani tanzanite — green against violet, the two colours of standing — in a choker built to be worn with a working day, not despite one.

The house calls it a working necklace: the clasp opens with one hand, the stones sit below a collar, and the papers list every garden left honest inside the emeralds.
